Andrew Porter Limited’s Self Store has donated props and scenery to a school’s performing arts department.
The self-storage facility in Kendal found itself the owner of a large number of theatrical props so decided to give them to somewhere where they would benefit the local community. Now the students at Queen Katherine School in Kendal will be able to use them in their future performances and productions and during drama lessons.
The 1044-pupil secondary school has a thriving performing arts department, which puts on regular productions in KS3, KS4 and KS5. The presentation was made to the school by Stephen Gregson, manager of Self Store in Kendal.
He said: “As a growing business, we are always keen to find ways to give something back to our local community and support the people of Kendal. We hope Queen Katherine School will be able to put these props and pieces of scenery to good use in their shows in the future.”
The self-storage facility provides secure storage at affordable prices and has proved so popular with people in the Kendal area the new phase of the facility which is currently under construction has almost sold out already.
