I’d like to book a removal to/from France. What is the process?
First of all, we’ll send one of our surveyors to your property to enable us to give an accurate quote for your removal. You can also use our online quotation tool to get a quote. It’s really easy to use and will give you a cost within minutes.
If you’d like to proceed with the move, you’ll be assigned a dedicated move co-ordinator to be your point of contact throughout the move process. They will be able to answer any queries you have quickly and easily and will keep you informed throughout the move.
We’ll need to assess issues of access at both your collection address and your new property, as this will affect the type of vehicle we assign for the job and how large a crew is necessary. We’ll also need to know any additional services you require, for example if you would like us to pack all your belongings for you, or if you have any particularly unusual, delicate or valuable items to move.
We will collect your belongings from you and load on to our vehicle on an agreed date. If you have chosen a groupage (shared) service your items will be delivered to your new home in France within two to four weeks. If you have opted for a dedicated service we can delivery to a specific, pre-agreed date to your new home.
Our crews will unload your furniture and belongings to whichever rooms you require in your new home.
Can you move me to the UK from France?

What is the difference between groupage and dedicated moves?
A groupage move is our lowest cost service. If your belongings do not fill an entire vehicle, we can combine your move with others, carrying multiple people’s belongings in the same wagon. As this saves on journeys, it also saves on costs. However it also means you will need to be flexible with the arrival date of your belongings, as your delivery date will be planned alongside other people’s.
We have weekly groupage journeys to France.
A dedicated move means only your belongings will be transported in one of our vehicles. This option allows you to specify the exact date you would like your belongings delivered to your new home. It costs more than a groupage move as we’ll be making a journey to France solely to deliver your belongings.
Do you use subcontracted staff?
The crews carrying out your move from the UK to France, or vice versa, will always be fully trained Andrew Porter Limited staff. We never subcontract staff for removals to France.
Can you move my pets?
