Andrew Porter Limited is highly experienced in the transportation of temperature-sensitive research specimens, on a UK-wide, European or global scale, handling temperatures from -78 degrees C, 2-8 degrees C, +15-25 degrees C and -15 to -25 degrees C.
We understand the critical importance of transporting these specimens in a safe and timely manner, while maintaining full documentation of each stage of the journey. This is of particular concern when thinking about the relocation of clinical trial samples. Often these samples will have no commercial value but may be the culmination of many hours or even years of dedicated research.
The transportation and relocation of clinical trial samples will also require strict adherence to global regulatory standards.
We are experienced in the handling of hazardous and infectious substances and relocation of biological samples which fall under CAT A and B, UN2814 and UN3373 classifications and we use fully validated transportation systems by air or road as well as IATA compliant packaging.
We provide validated packaging and coolants at the point of collection and full validation reports are available for any required submissions to the FDA or EMA. Coolants will be kept topped up en-route worldwide.
All Andrew Porter Limited vehicles are fitted with tracking devices which trace them throughout Europe. This tracking information is provided to our clients as part of our auditing procedures.
We implement and record full "chain of custody" procedures for international transportation including air charter or on-board courier where required.
To prevent any unnecessary delays during your move, we offer assistance with international customs clearance and with the completion of required customs documentation. This is processed before your shipment is collected, to avoid preventable hold-up when it reaches its destination.
